Tall blonde, Caucasian, English with Croatian mother. An ex-army officer, man of action, loves yachting, cognac and Rosalyn Shaye who is playing hard to get

Paul is a British secret agent, living on a diplomatic visa in Yugoslavia since 1974

He is a supporter of feminism with no religious hang ups, although his best friend is a catholic priest, he has visions of an arch angel and he wants to marry Rosalyn

His tendency to be reckless leads him to a powerful smuggler and lands him in gaol more than once. He is an incurable optimist who discovers that his real match is someone closer to home.

ROSKO KRYSTOFFE

Rosko Krystoffe-Xavier is the protagonist in two of the books in this series:

Born 2064, Rosko is 23 years of age in BPC, and 25 in HGS

Dark hair, green eyes, Paragon prince with an athletic constitution, who loves Gretchen Tousard, cyber-physical gym and flying helicopters

His eyes glow green in the dark and they change colour when he falls in love with the right mating partner

Rosko is able to remain underwater for 20 minutes before he enters into an aquatic state of hibernation. He glows bright blue underwater. He can remain in this aquatic state indefinitely, and makes a full recovery when he dries out

Rosko is aided by a double heart. His Spirullian heart produces oxygen while under water and beats at a different rhythm within his human heart

His title is the Prince of the Paragon Cross, son of King Daniel Krystoffe-Xavier

He lives in Paragonia, S. Africa, until the civil war breaks out in 2084. His mother is African and his father is son of Baikal Xavier, the Prince of the Paragon Cross

Rosko is very close to his cousin Derek Schoemakker. They grew up together, living as brothers in the same household after Derek's parents were killed in a mining accident

Rosko is a military type, a Brigadier in the Paragon Secret Army. He actively pursues justice for his people but does not fully understand religion. He is opposed to his fiancée's Catholicism, which has been outlawed with all other religions in Paragonia, which sets a barrier between them for quite some time

His tendency to be rebellious leads him also to be a vigilante. When his family and friends are in danger, and are exiled from Paragonia, he is plunged into a perilous journey during which he meets the Gabra Shi in the caves of Lupadilia. The Gabra Shi is a spirit who recognises Rosko as the saviour and sends him on a mission. His journey is life changing and takes him to Europe where he meets the monks in the mountains of Montenegro

He finds Gretchen and meets Hillary Jefferson, an astronaut pilot who offers to help them rescue Eva from the moon Callisto, since she was abducted by Spirullians and sold into slavery.

In HOGS Rosko rockets into outer space, lands on Jupiter's moons Europa and Callisto, in order to save the slaves of the Gabra Shi. He finds his grandfather Baikal Xavier, Prince of the Paragon Cross, and together they reclaim the Madonna's Cross.
